Introducing Location-Based Pricing in Galley
Tailor Your Pricing for Every Location
For food businesses operating across multiple locations, pricing strategies need flexibility. A dish priced at a central kitchen may need to be marked up for an airport kiosk or a high-rent urban location. Until now, Galley users had to rely on manual price overrides in menus to adjust pricing per location—adding extra steps and complexity.
That’s why we’re introducing Location-Based Pricing, a new feature that allows businesses to set different sales prices for the same recipe based on location.
What’s Changing?
Previously, Galley applied a single sales price across all locations, requiring users to override prices at the menu level for each individual location. This process was time-consuming and difficult to manage at scale.
With Location-Based Pricing, users can now:
✅ Set unique sales prices per location directly in the recipe settings.
✅ Adjust pricing for different markets, factoring in regional costs, demand, or markups.
✅ Reduce manual work—no more repetitive menu overrides!
Now, if you operate in multiple cities, stadiums, airports, or commissaries, you can easily tailor pricing without extra admin work.
Why This Matters
💡 Better Profit Optimization – Adjust pricing based on regional costs, demand, or location type (e.g., retail vs. wholesale).
⏳ Time Savings – Say goodbye to manually updating menu prices for each location—set it once and let Galley handle the rest.
📊 More Accurate Pricing Strategy – Gain better control over pricing at the recipe level, ensuring consistent and data-driven decisions across locations.
Who Benefits?
This feature is a game-changer for food businesses with multiple locations, including:
✔️ Restaurants and chains that adjust pricing based on city or region.
✔️ Food businesses serving a variety of markets.
✔️ Foodservice operators in airports, stadiums, or event spaces where pricing varies.
Unlike Serving Size-Based Food Costing, Location-Based Pricing is automatically enabled for all Galley users, meaning you can start using it immediately.
Next Steps
To start using Location-Based Pricing, navigate to your recipe settings and set unique sales prices by location. If you have questions, your Galley representative is happy to assist.
